What to expect
Your first visit, demystified
It's normal to feel nervous before a first pelvic floor appointment. Here's exactly how an initial evaluation works — so you know what to expect and stay in control the whole way through.
- 01
History & goals
We start by talking. Your symptoms, your history, your training, your goals — what 'better' looks like for you. Nothing is rushed.
- 02
Breathing & posture
How you breathe and carry yourself drives pressure through your core and pelvic floor. We assess both, standing and moving.
- 03
Orthopedic testing
A movement and strength screen of your hips, low back, and core — because the pelvic floor never works alone.
- 04
Pelvic floor exam (only with consent)
When it's appropriate and only with your explicit permission, an internal exam checks for tightness, trigger points, coordination, and strength. It's explained fully beforehand, and you can decline or stop at any time.
- 05
Your plan
We finish with a clear, individualized plan and your first home exercises — plus videos sent to your private portal so you're never guessing.
You are always in control. An internal exam is never required to begin care, is only ever performed with your consent, and can be paused or stopped at any moment. Your comfort comes first.
